Paxton Garza Race Polling

Paxton Garza race polling may show a tight November race for Texas Attorney General. The Texas Tribune/UT Tyler poll shows Garza within two points.

Polling shows incumbent Ken Paxton (R) ahead of Rochelle Garza (D), 34 – 32%.

The poll shows half of independent voters disapprove of Ken Paxton’s work as Attorney General. That is up from just over forty percent earlier this summer. It also shows more than a third of voters are undecided.

In addition to his political troubles, Paxton remains under indictment for securities fraud. That charge has plagued his time as Attorney General almost since he took office.

Garza appears to be bucking a national trend and may outperform Joe Biden in Texas despite running as a self described progressive. Biden’s tracking poll numbers show him down by more than fifteen points.

The one area of national unanimity is the direction of the country where a fifty point gap exists between right direction and wrong.

These poll numbers are within the Margin of Error, but still show Garza ahead of Beto O’Rourke taking a statewide seat.

Garza Issues

One issue clearly separating the two candidates is immigration. Though a federal issue, Garza has taken an open borders approach.

On her website she says, “Refugees, asylum seekers, and immigrants must be welcome in Texas — but that will never be the case as long as the GOP holds onto power.”

This statement contradicts Democratic Party exit polling from 2020 where Latinos in South Texas rejected this stance leading to an increased number of Latinos voting for Donald Trump.

As an issue for Dallas, open borders may have allowed Abel Elias Acosta to escape to Mexico after a triple murder in Garland last Christmas. Garland Police currently list Acosta as their number Most Wanted fugitive.

Back To School 2022 For Dallas ISD

Back to school 2022 is in full force this morning as most Dallas Independent School District students return to the classroom.

Among changes expected this year, students in grades six and up, are required to have clear backpacks. This is after the tragic response to the Uvalde school shooting last May.

That event led to copy cat threats at Berkner High School in Richardson and at Pinkston High School in Dallas.

National experts have called the move security theater and it appears to have drawn widespread criticism for first year Dallas Superintendent Stephanie Elizalde.

Shooting At Youth Football Game

There was a shooting at youth football game in Lancaster Saturday killing a coach. The nine year old scrimmage took the life of Mike Hickmon.

Hickmon, coach for the South East Dallas Wolverines, is reported to have been shot by former NFL player and North Dallas United coach Yaqub Talib. The team is led by he and his brother Aqib Talib.

Local fire department responders were seen performing CPR on their way out of the field area.

Lancaster Police Department has not returned calls Sunday morning. No arrests have beem made. It appears Mr. Talib is free Sunday morning.

Shooting At Youth Football Game – Another Sign Of Violence In Dallas

One parent stated this is what happens at unsanctioned events. However, there have been numerous cases of bad behavior by adults in youth sports during sanctioned tournaments.

Talib has reportedly been arrested in Dallas in previous years.

The Texas Rangers youth baseball program continued to use a coach last season after multiple serious allegations against him.

Additionally, umpires are leaving by the dozens from local associations. Some referees and umpires state they have parents follow them to their car.

Andy Ngô Identified North Texas Antifa

Andy Ngô – author of the New York Times best seller Unmasked – identified members of an antifa operation in Dallas.

Ngô, unmasked the antifa operatives, associated with Elm Fork John Brown Gun Club on his Twitter feed.

He did so hours after we published about the group disrupting homeless operations.

Ngô states that members of the Elm Fork John Brown Gun Club targeted a UNT student and a prolife prayer she led. He also links to a Human Events piece detailing the harrassment by members of antifa while at UNT.

He names Christopher Guillott as a leader of the Elm Fork John Brown Gun Club. Ngô states Guillot directed efforts against Kelly Neidert.

In another report, an antifa member died carrying out a terror attack in 2019. This person was from the Washington state chapter.

Garrett Lee, made open threats on Twitter with no response from law enforcement. Lee is also an extremist member of antifa based in Dallas.

Ngo was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. His parents fled Vietnam in 1978. They had been subjected to forced labor and communist re-education camps.

Ngo volunteered with AmeriCorps while attending the University of California, Los Angeles. He graduated with a graphic dessign degree.

Potential For Homeless Violence Increases

The potential for homeless violence increases after a group from outside Dallas forced city staff including city marshal and homeless staff to surrender on a homeless sweep.

Reports say more than three dozen people showed up to stop the city’s efforts. City staff including the Office of Homeless Solutions and Marshals participated.

The group led by the Elm Fork John Brown Gun Club carried long rifles. They obstructed the orderly tasks of city government. This led to the negotiated surrender where city staff left without doing their job.

This follows Dallas Police surrender to agitators with firearms at Dealey Montessori last year.

Per one report the city will not enforce whether people continue living in the homeless encampment under Interstate 45.

Homeless Violence

The presence of the Elm Fork John Brown Gun Club reminds Dallas citizens of the George Floyd protests.

Dallas saw a number of outside groups come into the city to agitate for violence. It led to a police response that injured bystander civilians.

These groups seemed to be encouraged by city council efforts to defund the police led by council members Bazaldua, Blackmon, Narvaez, and others.

Several are concerned that the criminal problem of homelessness will continue as long as there is a protection racket. Some have theorized that the protection racket comes from local drug dealers using these camps as a buffer to encroach on new territory.

Homeless Violence Raising Money For Schools?

The group also appears to be raising money as an unregistered charity. It is unclear where this school supply money would go in the request above. Is it for a Dallas student or another student outside the area? Will it go to a college aged student?

There is no clear indication and beyond Instagram this appears to be an antifa style operation.

Yaser Said Convicted

Yaser Said convicted this afternoon in Dallas Judge Chika Anyiam’s court room. Said evaded arrest for the January 1, 2008, fatal shootings of his two daughters, Amina (18) and Sarah (17).

Said disappeared after the killings. He remained a fugitive from Irving Police for twelve years. Six of those years included being listing on the FBI Ten Most Wanted list.

Chika Aniyam is the judge who lowered the bond for a political donor and legal friend in another murder case.

Yaser Said Background

Said was born in Sinai, Egypt. He came to the U.S. on a student visa in 1983. Said married Patricia “Tissie” Owens in February 1987 when he was thirty. Owens was fifteen at the time.

Patricia later alleged that Said abused her during their marriage.

Their daughter Amina was born in 1989, and Sarah was born in 1990.

Clay Got COVID19

Clay Got COVID19 and his political foes wasted no time attacking him.

In a statement released Tuesday, Dallas County Judge said he tested for COVID19.

Political opponents like Barry Wernick came out immediately to wish Jenkins well. They also hoped he would take his own medicine and isolate.

Four sources confirmed that Jenkins most recent routine did not include masks or social distancing.

Several of those sources believe Jenkins was isolating before the diagnosis given his recent work habits.

The same sources say Jenkins wanted to run for Governor. They say he has no fire to be Dallas County Judge anymore.

One county staffer said, “he is going through the motions, but isn’t there mentally anymore.”

COVID19 Stats

Cases are on the rise again though down from last year. Dallas County is currently on an “Extreme Caution” warning level.

At this time last year, Dallas County was exeriencing its highest infection rate totals since February 2021. In early August 2021, Dallas was experiencing 700 new cases per day. We are just over half that number now.

Mayor Eric Johnson was diagnosed with COVID19 in October 2021.

Locally, school protests at Dealey Montessori led to unmasked students in classrooms and brought a spike in cases there.

Love Field Active Shooter

Love Field active shooter incident is being reported both in local and national media.

Members of the public are being evacuated per sources on scene.

The Dallas Police Department says, “Dallas police are investigating, and will update media when information becomes available,” police said.

The Federal Aviation Administration has placed a ground stop for all incoming and departing aircraft.

Witnesses report a disgruntled passenger with a firearm shot (a) round(s) into the air inside the terminal prior to the sterile side of the airport. One witness states she was quickly subdued by law enforcement.

Dallas Building Collapse Update

A Dallas building collapse displaced many families in one hundred degree heat. The building collapse in the 5700 block of Marquita Avenue displaced many families.

Dallas Fire Rescue units responded to the incident for an Investigation. The apartment complex is in the Lower Greenville section of Dallas.

On arrival, firefighters observed part of the two-story apartment building collapsed. Initial firefighters added HazMat and Urban Search and Rescue response responders. This was a precaution for potential Search and Rescue efforts.

The collapse effects twelve apartments in the building. Responders located the twelve residents living in those units. There have been no reported fatalities or injuries.

A neighboring building – attached by a breezeway – was evacuated for safety purposes.

Residents states they could hear bricks falling from the roof.

There are twenty-four total apartments effected by this incident. Thirty-one residents are now without their housing.

Dallas Fire Rescue is working with property management and others. City Office of Emergency Management (OEM) and American Red Cross will assist residents.

Dallas Fire is helping residents retrieve pets and essentials from the second unit.

Once Dallas Fire operations conclude property management will secure the apartments. They will also have a structural engineer assess the buildings moving forward.

Resident vehicles are also parked in the buildings underground parking area.

A neighbor reported the foundation shifting causing a corner wall to give way.

Dallas Fire Rescue safety and city code enforcement were on scene. They would not comment on potential cause.

Construction began on the apartment building in 1930.

Police will block traffic between Marquita and Vanderbilt. This will remain in place until assessment by a building engineer.
