Dallas ISD Fails HB3

Dallas ISD fails HB3 standards by its own admission and is leaving Dallas Independent School District children unprotected.

House Bill 3, or HB3, is a historic school finance bill. In 2019 the 86th Texas Legislature in passed the bill into law.

HB3 brings more money into Texas classrooms, increases teacher compensation, and provides that every campus is protected by police officers.

Dallas ISD officers are assigned to all secondary campuses, but they are short nearly two hundred officers to comply with HB3.

the move may help what has been a clear cut case of Dallas ISD failing to educate local children.

Dallas ISD police have a poor record of local safety though.

Last school year there were multiple accusations against an elementary teacher at Geneva Heights of sexual assault. The district allowed him to leave to another ISD this year and families remain angry over the decision.

Similarly, Dallas ISD was unable to keep firearms off campus last year. Several years ago a 3rd grader brought a handgun onto school grounds.

Poor Jenna Ryan

Poor Jenna Ryan

Poor Jenna Ryan is back at it – now complaining the Paypal shut down her legal defense fund account.

In a rant on X she describes her personal financial information being shred with the media.

Other Side Dallas reached out to CBS, NBC, The New York Times, and The Washington Post. None could comment officially, but sources say no personal financial information was shared with the media.

Poor Jenna Ryan

Ryan has continued her work though and claims of innocence.

It was disclosed that Ryan closed her real estate business and later reopened it using a new name for herself after the insurrection.

Her real-estate website, First Place Real Estate, shows Ryan identifying herself as “Jennifer Rodgers.” Ryan has since changed her name back to Jenna Ryan.

It is unclear why the name change was required if she had nothing to be ashamed for in supporting what is described as an insurrection.

Poor Jenna Ryan

Jenna Ryan came to be known as the Dallas area realtor who participated in the January 6th riots. She claimed she would not go to jail because she was white and blonde.

Ryan made headlines when she bragged about taking a private jet to the insurrection and called it “one of the best days of my life.”

She did indeed serve jail time and was convicted for her participation that day.

Chaos At AAC

Chaos at AAC – the American Airlines Center – was another example of uncontrolled violence in Dallas. City council continues unwilling to respond to violence downtown and in Dallas neighborhoods.

The American Airlines Center hosted the Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz boxing match. There are numerous videos showed bigger fights outside the ring.

It is unclear the number of security and police on scene. Video is clear it was not enough for the pay per view event titled “Ready 4 war.”

Logan Paul also involved himself in an incident with a fan during the match.

It was a full day for the older Paul brother. He made the flight from Detroit to Dallas after being in WWE’s SummerSlam.

Chaos At AAC – Not In Ring

The YouTuber-turned-prizefighter Jake Paul defeated Nate Diaz via a unanimous decision (97-92, 98-91, 98-91) Saturday night.

The event at American Airlines Center was sold-out.

Paul hurt Diaz in the first round and some indicated they thought he “would cruise or finish early.” Diaz kept the contest close and made it a dogfight throughout.

Dallas has been hundreds of officers short since 2020. It was then that the city council led by Adam Bazaldua moved to remove police funding.

McGee remains hospitalized in critical condition after a shoot out with police. There is some conjecture McGee was attempting “suicide by cop.”

McGee is currently charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. More charges are expected.

Hero Cedar Hill Doctor Shot

Sources say McGee intended to shoot his ex-girlfriend. Instead, he shot a physician where his ex-girlfriend worked. The physician was trying to move bystanders to safety when shot.

The shooting comes just over a year since a similar shooting at the Duncanville Field House nearby.

Citation payments due while the court system is down will be accepted after service is restored.

Cases for Thursday will be reset and updated court dates will be mailed out.

Municipal Court Down Again

Per city officials this is not related to the previous ransomware attack which took more than a month to correct.

Information Technology issues have plagued the city for more than a decade.

Beyond the recent ransomware attack there is also the March 2021 Dallas police data loss. The public was never provided with a full picture of the data issues then, but rumors persist it contributed to Chris Caso’s departure.

Another issue has been City of Dallas hiring practices focusing on diversity over competency.
