The decision comes are Lions Offensive Coordinator Ben Johnson reportedly pulled himself from consideration. Washington was the last team with a head coaching vacancy.

Dan Quinn Out, Not McCarthy

The situation may surprise some who though head coach Mike McCarthy would be out after the playoff disaster.

The Dallas Cowboys have not named Quinn’s replacement. It is unclear if they will consider outside coaches or someone internal.

Archer Brutal on Cowboy’s Dak

Archer brutal on Cowboy’s Dak Prescott in comparisons to former Quarterback Tony Romo and long term success.

The ESPN staff writer said Prescott has a $59.4 million salary cap figure. This is the second largest in the NFL behind Deshaun Watson in Cleveland.

Archer Brutal on Cowboy's Dak

Archer covers the brutal truth of the Prescott contract noting he has a no trade clause and can not be franchised next year. The contract is much like Tony Romo’s before the end of his career and leave few options.

The Cowboys can pay him the full sum and lose out on retaining current players and chasing free agents.

Another option is to add future voidable years, but this creates long term cap problems.

Finally, they can restructure his deal meaning many more millions to a quarterback who may not have full support.

Archer Brutal on Cowboy’s Dak

The Archer piece comes just one week after Jerry Jones chose to retain Mike McCarthy. The decision to keep McCarthy came after a devastating loss against his former Green Bay Packers.

McCarthy Stays SuperBowl Goes?

McCarthy Stays SuperBowl Goes

McCarthy stays SuperBowl goes appears to be the thinking of the Cowboys front office as the head coach is staying in Dallas.

Team owner and General Manager Jerry Jones put out a statement yesterday. In it he says the Cowboys are “very close and capable of achieving our ultimate goals.”

His statement continues, “…and the best step forward for all of us will be with Mike McCarthy as our head coach.”

McCarthy Stays SuperBowl Goes

McCarthy has one year left on his contract and many thought it was doubtful he would return. The Sunday debacle in the NFL playoffs Wild Card round against the Green Bay Packers put his future at question.

The Cowboys gave up 48 points this past Sunday. They were the first team to lose to a 7 seed in the new playoff format.

Dan Quinn has already interviewed with the Carolina Panthers and Tennessee Titans yesterday. He is also plans to take interviews with the Seattle Seahawks, Washington Commanders and Los Angeles Chargers later this week.

He is being considered for the head coaching vacancy at each.

McCarthy Stays SuperBowl Goes – Dak Responsible?

One reason McCarthy may stay in Dallas is the team leading in average points per game. They scored nearly thirty points per game across the seventeen game season.

Another related reason may be the resurgence of Dak Prescott. Prescott consistently led the team until the playoffs.

Prescott also came out definitively for Coach McCarthy after the playoff loss.

Prescott’s current contract counts nearly fifty million dollars towards the salary cap meaning he must either be resigned to a cap friendly deal or be traded if the Cowboys will maintain any other significant players.

The question now is how will keeping things the same change the future. It is possible McCarthy will stay and SuperBowl opportunities will go.

Stinky Honey On Dak

After a 43-20 win over the Los Angeles Rams, Jerry Jones was quoted saying he doesn’t want to “poke the bear.” The question related to the upcoming game against the Eagles.

Dak Prescott however responded to Jones comments saying, “pour honey on me.”

He continued, “if I’m ever in a fight with a bear, pour honey on me. I’m looking forward to [that type of fight].”

Prescott ended the day sacked five times with a QBR rating of 72.5

If the season ended today, the Cowboys would be in the third Wild Card slot.

The next four games are against the Giants, Panthers, Commanders, and Seahawks. The Eagles come to Dallas for a mid December matchup.

There is still no movement on a second NFL team in Dallas. The idea was proposed by Mayor Eric Johnson caused the Cowboys to throw a flag over the idea in 2022.

DISD Says No Rangers

DISD says no Rangers says some parents shocked that Dallas ISD is not closing or closing early for today’s Rangers parade.

Unlike other districts, Dallas Independent School District is not allowing students to celebrate the first World Series win.

DISD Says No Rangers

Arlington, Irving, Kennedale, and Mansfield all stated they would close. Grand Prairie ISD was forced to close when they could not secure enough substitutes for anticipated vacancies.

Meanwhile, Dallas ISD says Ba Humbug to the Texas Rangers first World Series win.

DISD Says No Rangers

It is unclear how many students will be absent any way, but a large part of Dallas ISD’s budget comes from attendance levels.

Dallas ISD took the Texas Education Agency to court earlier this year. The lawsuit came after a preliminary report showed 20% of campuses failing basic standards.

Another question exists would Dallas ISD hold this same standard for a Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl win.

Accusation Against Jerry Jones

Accusation Against Jerry Jones

An accusation against Jerry Jones goes to the question of racism in the NFL and in the Dallas Cowboys and is causing league wide ripples.

Jim Trotter, a former NFL.com columnist, has made a number of accusations against the NFL in a recent lawsuit.

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones responded earlier this week saying the race-related charge “simply not accurate.”

Accusation Against Jerry Jones

In the lawsuit Trotter claims that he asked the Cowboys owner about blacks in the NFL.

Trotter states Jones’ response was, “If Blacks feel some kind of way, they should buy their own team and hire who they want to hire.”

Trotter also claims Bills owner, Terry Pegula, said, “if the Black players don’t like it here, they should go back to Africa and see how bad it is.”

Accusation Against Jerry Jones

Jones is currently defending multiple other lawsuits locally.

A sexual assault case against Jones moves forward per the Texas Supreme Court. It was reported last week meaning Cowboys owner Jerry Jones can be sued.

The petition was filed on in September 2020 against both Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys. Legal wrangling and appeals brought the matter to the Texas Supreme Court in May who issued a Friday ruling.

The suit is being brought by an anonymous woman using the pseudonym Jane Doe.
