Oak Cliff Murder 2022

Oak Cliff Murder

Oak Cliff murder this weekend reminds many of Teilor Johnson and the murder and burning of Quincy Wyatt.

Teilor Johnson is the daughter of Maxie Johnson, the Dallas ISD school board trustee, who has consistent issues hanging out with known felons.

Oak Cliff Murder

Trustee Johnson spends significant time with Dominique Alexander. Alexander is the “CEO minister” of the Next Generation Action Network.

NGAN’s “CEO minister” Dominique Alexander is a convicted felon after charges of assault against a child. It is not obvious his relationship with the Dallas schools.

Alexander spent many hours with former Dallas Police Chief U. Reneé Hall.

However, the situation in East Oak Cliff is very similar to the story involving Maxie Johnson’s daughter, Teilor Johnson.

Oak Cliff Murder Details

Dallas Fire Rescue “found a small SUV engulfed in flames.”

The SUV was in a wooded area off the 4600 block of Burma Road before 8:00 PM.

Dallas Police officials state one person was inside the vehicle. The Dallas County Medical Examiner will determine cause of death.

Authorities are notifying next of kin prior to releasing the identity of the victim inside the SUV.

Meanwhile, Teilor Johnson is out on bail currently in what some call a sweetheart deal.

It is unclear why John Creuzot’s office declined to keep her in custody.

Likewise, in another situation, Johnson’s son died in August 2019. This information comes from multiple police and media reports at the time.

Christopher Whitfield Johnson graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 2015. He was 21 years old when he died in east Oak Cliff.

Police found his body lying in the middle of the street in the 3600 block of Utah Avenue at about 1:30AM in August 2019. A chest wound killed the younger Johnson.

Christopher Johnson is said to have been shot after attempted robbery.

Maxie Johnson Goes Back To School

Maxie Johnson Goes Back To School

Maxie Johnson goes back to school and carries on a live broadcast without student permission. This is not the first time the Dallas Independent School District Trustee took to the air for self promotion.

Dallas ISD’s website says “Media should refrain from contacting Dallas ISD students, teachers or staff without FIRST receiving approval from our media team, and is asked not visit campuses prior to receiving approval.”

Dallas ISD Strategic Communication was contacted five times for comment about Johnson’s broadcast and policy rules surrounding it.

The new superintendent, Stephanie Elizalde, could not be reached for comment. Johnson did attend her first public meeting in June 2022 with the Next Generation Action Network (NGAN).

NGAN’s “CEO minister” Dominique Alexander has previously been convicted of felony assault against a child. It is unclear his relationship with the Dallas schools, but Johnson has similar problems.

It makes his lack of attention to safety details important for some parents.

Maxie Johnson Goes Back To School

While Johnson is the elected representative for his district it is also unclear how tightly school officlas monitor his behavior.

Johnson’s son was killed in 2019 and his daughter was arrested for Capital Murder.

Police sources state Johnson attempted to rob another person who exercised lethal force to protect himself.

Maxie Johnson Goes Back To School

Teilor Johnson, then 19, is the daughter of Dallas ISD trustee Maxie Johnson, is charged with capital murder in the death of Quincy Wyatt.

LaKevain Grant was also arrested. Affidavits say that in exchange for $600 Grant and Johnson lured Wyatt to a location where he was kidnapped.

Wyatt’s body was later found with gunshot wound and burned.

Kimball Basketball Had Warning Signs

Shot By Kimball High School Student

The Kimball basketball team’s Athletic Director and head coach had prior knowledge of previous issues with the player who brought a firearm on the school trip to San Antonio last week.

Two sources on school staff and two unrelated parents told Other Side Dallas that the school and staff were aware of the issues and that weapons on campus are a regular occurrence that gets ignored by senior administration and Dallas ISD Police.

Despite multiple issues with academics and attitude, the team kept the player on the team due to athletic ability and kept issues quiet in pursuit of state accolades.

Dallas Schools have had multiple incidents and violations of Code of Conduct where the Dallas ISD did not follow their own policy on discipline. Recently an assault victim was made to stay in the same class as her assaulter who served no penalty at WT White.

One parent blames Trustee Maxie Johnson who has led efforts to eliminate discipline from the school system at large.

“They talk about a prison pipeline, but what about the pipeline to the hospital of assaults that don’t get attention,” one parent said.

The Kimball basketball squad was allowed to stay in San Antonio and continue to compete despite the arrest of one of their team mates and the injury to a student who trainer who required surgery.

The firearm was in a player’s bag when it accidentally discharged. The unnamed player has been arrested and the student trainer was rushed to a local hospital for surgery.

Accidentally Shot By Kimball High School Student

This is not the first firearms incident in Dallas this year.

Earlier several students were arrested at Woodrow Wilson High School prior to a planned fight and firearms were found. Additionally, a gun was found enroute to Marshal Prep Academy earlier this year.

Coming Soon: Social Justice In South Dallas

Social Justice In South Dallas

A Dallas Independent School District press conference informed the public social justice in South Dallas was coming soon.

Students, staff, and community members gathered on campus for the announcement despite a Dallas ISD prohibition in most schools on visitors.

The new campus is expected to be completed in 2024.

Social Justice In South Dallas

Social Justice In South Dallas Academy Named After John Lewis

“I’m happy to announce that O.W. Holmes will now be the John Lewis Social Justice Academy at O.W. Holmes,” Dallas ISD Trustee Maxie Johnson told those assembled. Johnson is also pastor at New Morning Star Baptist Church.

The school is currently named for Oliver Wendell Holmes, the Supreme Court Justice, who has been the third-most cited American legal scholar of the 20th century.

It is unclear Trustee Johnson’s commitment to social justice though. In the summer, Johnson accused white and Latino parents at Harry Stone of being racist after they raised concerns about school funds being misappropriated. The meeting revealed that staff has been assaulted by a family member of another school employee.

Early in the school year, Johnson also returned to calling parents racist after they expressed concern over hidden COVID19 numbers at Harry Stone that have now risen to fifty total cases out of a student population of approximately three hundred.

There were no protests arranged at Harry Stone Montessori over these numbers, unlike Dealey Montessori in North Dallas – which is predominantly white. Trustee Johnson has yet to return email requests for comment on his actions on any of these topics.

Old School New Group at Harry Stone?

Old School New Group

Old school new group action at Dallas ISD‘s Harry Stone Montessori?

Last week we reported on a large percentage of teachers leaving Dallas ISD’s South Dallas Montessori campus. That resulted in dozens of calls and emails that show teachers are leaving due to campus assaults by students of staff members.

A second Zoom was held last night where Trustee Maxie Johnson stated he thinks parents are racist for bringing up assaults against teachers. We have reached out to Mr. Johnson for comment repeatedly without success.

Old School New Group

To date, he has not spoken substantively about the campus assaults, teachers leaving, or other relevant issues, but he has now accused a parent of racism for wanting his child to be in a safe school environment.

Old School New Group Cliques Continue

One source says the school continues to be run by the Blackburn family who delete posts out of the Facebook group that brings any negative attention. Lew Blackburn is on the school Site Based Decision Making Committee and Tes Blackburn is the President of the PTA.

The Blackburns were also accused of deleting all posts, but Facebook archived older posts.

We have run through three years of posts and do not find any post about current events or past topics such as misappropriation of bus funds which led to parents creating a Trust so that student fundraising dollars could not be misappropriated.
