The Dallas Zoo giraffe deaths made it national when Saturday Night Live took aim at the three recent events and asked if Giraffrey Dahmer was to blame.
The short skit got laughs, but was another embarrassment for Dallas as it navigates a 22 TB data loss, a county sheriff who lost $600,000 in inmate funds, and a new police chief who is considered distant by those in his command staff.
Dallas Zoo Giraffe Deaths
The Dallas Zoo has had numerous animal deaths over the the past two decades.
Zoo officials claim one giraffe, Jesse, a 14-year-old, died Oct. 29, “despite aggressive treatment and heroic efforts by animal care staff.”
The zoo has also ruled out death secondary to COVID19 vaccination as some have claimed online.
