Cumulus charges kids with cancer for commercials that did not air on behalf of Strike Out Kids Cancer Foundation in September 2021 per multiple sources familiar with the issue.

Strike Out Kids Cancer Foundation was raising money through North Texas Giving Day, an annual event designed to empower North Texas nonprofits.

Strike Out Kids Cancer had a $25,000 goal they were hoping to raise, but fell well short after ads they had purchased with 1310 The Ticket did not run as planned.

The radio station has not responded to emails or phone calls since September 2021 and refuse to provide a refund to the nonprofit.

Two persons unrelated to the nonprofit completed affidavits stating that they did not hear the ads played in the Youtube ad above during the month of September and per Cumulus Media’s advertising dashboard, no online ads ran either.

Neither Cumulus nor UMB Financial Corporation, the card issuer for the Texas Rangers Mastercard, has responded to request for comment.
