John Bryant announces re-election campaign to HD114 in East Dallas earlier this week after a return to the political arena in 2022.
Bryant Successfully won the Democratic nod two years ago after beating former Republican Alexandra Guio.
He then went onto victory against GOP replacement candidate Sarah Lamb in 2022.
In an email to supporters Bryant said, “it has been such a great honor to have been given the opportunity to return to the Texas House…”
He spoke about his work advocating for “for working families” in House District 114.
John Bryant Announces Re-election Successes
During his return to office, Bryant received several awards including:
- Texas Monthly’s 2023 Best Legislators
- Texas House Progressive Caucus’ Legislator of the Year
- Designated a “Labor Champion” by the AFL-CIO
- Awarded the Community Advocate Award by the Texas Municipal League
- Granted the Public Education Champion Award by RAISE Your Hand Texas
- One of only eight members of the Texas House to score an “A Rating” by Mothers Against Greg Abbott
- Graded 100% by Environment Texas’ 2023 Texas Legislative Scorecard
