Sexual Assault By Jones

Sexual Assault By Jones

Sexual assault by Jones moves forward per the Texas Supreme Court in news from late last week meaning Cowboys owner Jerry Jones can be sued.

The petition was filed on in September 2020 against both Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys. Legal wrangling and appeals brought the matter to the Texas Supreme Court in May who issued a Friday ruling.

The suit is being brought by an anonymous woman using the pseudonym Jane Doe.

The suit alleges that Jones kissed her on the mouth and forcibly grabbed her without consent on September 16, 2018.

It also states the Cowboys organization knew, or should have been aware, of his misconduct.

In 2022, the Cowboys settled a case against Rich Dalrymple over similar allegations raising the question of culture at the Cowboys facilities.

Additionally, Jones has a second lawsuit in progress over his defamation of Alexandra Davis. She claims Jones is her illegitimate father.

In a March 2022 lawsuit it is alleged Jones and his representatives embarked on a public campaign attacking her character. Her suit states they made statements “based knowingly on false statements and accusations.”

Jones was briefly hospitalized after a car accident in 2022.

UIL Deflates Duncanville Basketball

UIL deflates Duncanville basketball teams handing out multiple suspensions and stripping a state title yesterday. Both Duncanville ISD programs received discipline for rules violations centered around recruiting.

The Duncanville boys basketball team will forfeit all games from the 2021-2022 season in which the team played an ineligible player. The ineligible player is said to be Anthony Black, who plays at the University of Arkansas.

The penalty forfeits include all postseason games and the 2022 Conference 6A State Championship. This makes McKinney High School the new state champs.

UIL Deflates Duncanville Basketball For Girls Too

The girls’ basketball team will also be suspended from this year’s playoffs. This sanction comes for violating recruiting rules and practice restrictions.

According to the UIL, Coach LeJeanna Howard advertised she was having an open gym tryout in August. This was a full two months before practices are allowed to start.

Howard denied it was a try-out for the team, calling it just an open gym.

Duncanville is considered a local powerhouse for hoops and the Duncanville Field House conducts a great deal of off season preparation.

Shooting At Youth Football Game

Shooting At Youth Football Game

There was a shooting at youth football game in Lancaster Saturday killing a coach. The nine year old scrimmage took the life of Mike Hickmon.

Hickmon, coach for the South East Dallas Wolverines, is reported to have been shot by former NFL player and North Dallas United coach Yaqub Talib. The team is led by he and his brother Aqib Talib.

Local fire department responders were seen performing CPR on their way out of the field area.

Lancaster Police Department has not returned calls Sunday morning. No arrests have beem made. It appears Mr. Talib is free Sunday morning.

One parent stated this is what happens at unsanctioned events. However, there have been numerous cases of bad behavior by adults in youth sports during sanctioned tournaments.

Talib has reportedly been arrested in Dallas in previous years.

The Texas Rangers youth baseball program continued to use a coach last season after multiple serious allegations against him.

Additionally, umpires are leaving by the dozens from local associations. Some referees and umpires state they have parents follow them to their car.

Cowboys Throw Penalty Flag

Cowboys Throw Penalty Flag

Jerry Jones and Cowboys throw penalty flag all over idea of second franchise. Eric Johnson had an accident and it wasn’t a coup attempt against TC Broadnax this time. It was closer to Amber Heard testimony in her defamation trial with Johnny Depp.

In a report in TMZ, Jerry Jones blasts the mayor for talk of a second NFL franchise in North Texas, much less Dallas.

Cowboys Throw Penalty Flag

In an interview, Jones said, “I like him personally, but he doesn’t have the depth. He doesn’t have the knowledge.”

Jones was responding to Mayor Johnson’s recent suggestion the Chargers re-locate here.

Most fans agreed with Jones about Johnson, but extended it to city administration. It is also unclear if citizens heard wild laughing from the City Manager’s office.

We know Jerry Jones recently had a car accident in Dallas. We didn’t realize he would have a second one so soon running over Eric Johnson.

Cowboys Throw Penalty Flag Among Others

The Cowboys throw penalty flag on Dallas isn’t the only issue. There are problems across Dallas.

Dallas has bad economic numbers due to a permitting office that doesnt issue permits.

Despite the presentation at Wednesday’s board briefing, citizens feel crime is up. Crime is up one you look city wide and not the chief’s containment areas.

Roads are problematic throughout Dallas.

The city council has a problem getting along with one another and their city manager.

Johnson is chasing professional sports franchises instead of ensuring the city runs well.

At the same time, something is afoot. After the failed coup attempt, council members are in distress.

Council member Mendelsohn has defended the mayor to a degree some question.

“Wednesday went very, very bad for the mayor,” one person said. “She knows it, but is now arguing he somehow didn’t fall on his face.”

Several say Mendelsohn is in favor of a charter amendment supporting a strong mayor. That amendment can not happen for two years and some project longer.

A South Dallas activist said, “why would we allow a strong mayor system when we don’t have a strong mayor now?”

Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are a professional American football team based in Dallas metroplex. The Cowboys compete in the National Football League as a member club.

In 2021 they finished 12-5 and won the NFC East. They lost their first playoff game against the 10-7 San Francisco 49ers.

Spring Valley Athletic Antisemitism

Spring Valley Athletic Antisemitism

Youth ball in Richardson took an ugly turn this weekend as Spring Valley athletic antisemitism took the field at Spring Valley Elementary this past weekend.

Spring Valley Athletic Antisemitism

Other Side Dallas has independently watched video of a baseball game at the Richardson Independent School District campus where parents of a youth baseball team stated “1/2 the [other] team needs to be put in ovens” referring to a youth baseball team with a number of Jewish players.

Spring Valley Athletic Antisemitism
Youth sports has increasingly become dangerous for youth to participate in as adults push themselves into games.

Other Side Dallas has reached out to both Richardson schools and Spring Valley Athletic Association for comment who leases the fields from the North Dallas suburb.

Some parents have said they are shocked that this happens in the open, but others said this is what happens when bullies are allowed to act with impunity.

Officials will not get in the middle of these events and are too timid to address racism or other hateful language directly.

One parent was particularly blunt saying, “they can barely handle their job with eight year olds. they’re not going to take on adults too.”

Antisemitism On The Rise Locally

Richardson has been the focus of a number of antisemitic events recently including the distribution of antisemitic flyers.

Additionally, the City of Dallas had one of their parking garages painted with swastikas two years ago. To date there have been no prosecutions.

Spring Valley Athletic Antisemitism More Bad Baseball In North Texas

There has been an uptick in local sports violence including players attacking one another and assaults on youth sports fields.

The video above is from the North Central Texas College/Weatherford baseball game which did not have racial or other hate overtones, but demonstartes poor game management by officials and school site administrators.

These same issues plague recreational and travel sport events across the country and are becoming more common both in Dallas, but also across the country.

Jerry Jones Hospitalized After Car Accident

Jerry Jones hospitalized after a car wreck Wednesday night.

Per team sources the Dallas Cowboys owner and General Manager was taken to a local hospital as a precautionary measure, but he was later released.

The motor vehicle collision reportedly happened around 8:00 PM in the area of Wolf and Harry Hines Boulevard in Dallas. Dallas police have not confirmed whether or not Jones was a driver or that he was transported to Parkland Hospital.

Jerry Jones Hospitalized, Mixed Reports On Condition Despite Release

Dallas Police have not confirmed Jones was a driver, but there is one report that he was and may have been intoxicated.

Police said it is not their practice to give the names of people involved in collisions unless there is a fatality and declined to confirm Jones was a participant.

The Dallas football franchise has a long history of players and staff driving under the influence.

In 2021, Cowboys safety Damontae Kazee was arrested for DUI.

Kazee was pulled over for a traffic violation in The Colony. Colony Police noticed physical signs that Kazee had been drinking. After being questioned he told the officer that he had consumed alcohol earlier in the evening.

Kazee was then detained after failing a field sobriety test, and his DWI charge is a Class B misdemeanor for a first offense. The 28-year-old posted a $2,500 bond on Tuesday and was released from The Colony Municipal Jail at 12:34 PM.

At halftime they had a four touchdown lead that was called inspiration by Superintendent Michael Hinojosa.

“It’s just very inspiring,” Dallas ISD superintendent Michael Hinojosa said, as he watched a celebration continue on in front of him at Abilene’s Shotwell Stadium on Friday night.

Trustee Maxie Johnson said,”this is what happens when you get equity,” but Johnson’s involvement in the team may lead to future issues as he has been previously accused of trying to recruit players from outside the district into South Oak Cliff High School.

Dallas ISD has had a history of recruiting scandals mostly involving basketball, but has had some issues with baseball also.

Trump Lost Says Texas Rangers

Trump Lost

Trump lost the election says the Texas Rangers Baseball Club.

Or at least they said you can not unfurl a banner saying Trump won the election.

The same people who attended June’s QAnon Rally in Dallas apparently think it is appropriate to advertise Trump’s “win” at Globe Life Field.

Video shows a man identified as conspiracy theorist Owen Shroyer demanding his banner back after the security personnel removed it. Shroyer has previously been removed from Congressional hearings for outbursts.

Trump Lost

It is unclear if this was intended as entertainment or actual political posturing.

John Blake of the Rangers has not returned an email seeking comment on whether or not Mr. Shroyer will be banned from future Rangers or Major League Baseball games as others have been for similar stunts.

Dion Cini, unfurled a similar banner previously, resulting in a strongly worded letter from MLB.

In Cini’s case, MLB said, “this activity is prohibited at each of these stadiums, and your fan code of conduct violations resulted in your ejection from each of them. A review of your public statements indicates that you intend to continue this behavior at other Major League Baseball stadiums, and that you are encouraging others to conduct themselves likewise,” per a letter circulating on social media.

Trump Lost Dallas

Dallas County Elections reported a 66% turnout. That equaled 924,000 ballots cast.

Biden won the majority of the vote by a margin of almost two to one. Sixty-five percent of voters supported President Joe Biden over President Donald Trump.

Dallas County reported 1,400,730 registered voters.
