Two students will attend classes unmasked at Dealey Montessori starting Thursday, October 14 per multiple reports from Dallas ISD Central Office staff and school teachers who told students to prepare for their classmates return.
They are reportedly doing this under the auspices of a physician note, but both students have been photographed in other venues recently masked – at church and volunteer events.
Additionally, the protest organizer is reportedly going to be in Austin testifying before the state legislature about social media and its influence on children.
One parent has described Lauren Davis as Shelley Luther 2.0.
Other Side Dallas is planning a full post on Lauren Davis, the salon culture officer, for Dallas based The Gents Place. At least one source noted this entire operation is to raise enough noise to create a fundraising mechanism to keep her business afloat.
Lauren Davis is reported to have instructed her children attending Dealey Montessori to protest the mask mandate and resulting accomodations. Her older son, a sophomore at Hillcrest High School complies with the mask mandate there.
Ms. Davis has previously organized a group to walk around the school saying prayers, but most recently organized a protest scheduled for tomorrow, October 14, to accuse the school of child abuse for forcing masks.
Unmasked At Dealey – Uninformed At Home
Parents were caught unaware when no notification came home with students and no email was transmitted to parents alerting them of the difference.
One parent noted, “Apparently the administration will officially send out a communication tomorrow but it’s pretty much been confirmed.”
Earlier this summer Superintendent Michael Hinojosa had stated Dallas ISD would not comply with the Governor’s mask mandate prohibition. One teacher noted out of 160,000 students, nineteen protested that decision initially. The number now is only two. They both attend Dealey.
In addition to the problems noted, the Davis children have also recorded a teacher in a Gay Straight Alliance meeting that the teacher sponsors. This is considered a Level II disciplinary matter, but it is not clear Dallas ISD has taken any disciplinary action against the family for the repeated disruptions or threats to safety via their attempts to be unmasked at Dealey.
This is a disgusting article. I have personally met Lauren Davis and her husband and they are wonderful, caring people. They believe in freedom of choice and have always given their children the choice in how they (the kids) want to handle the mask mandate. It is sick that it would even be implied that they are doing this for anything other than standing up for personal freedom. Hinojosa is a tyrant that defies his own mask rules and the entire DISD system should be ashamed of the way these CHILDREN have been treated over the last 2 months. I applaud what they are standing for and as our freedoms are slowly stripped from us and “they” come for something dear to you, I hope it is remembered that these children stood up and fought when too many others were silent.
She has caused immense pain to the Dealey Community. She has been incredibly dishonest about what happened. Every two weeks there was another stunt carried out by either her supporters or her children. Honestly, it was so puzzling why it was happening at the time. We were all going through such a hard time. Why would someone want to cause more pain? Now it is clear, it was all political theatre at the expense of young kids. Shame on Lauren Davis!
It is completely untrue that there are only 2 children in the district that do not want to wear a mask. There are thousands of families who do not agree with policy and only a few children who have been willing to stand up for their rights and health freedoms.
There are ZERO peer-reviewed studies showing that masks work and TONS of peer-reviewed studies that show that mask not only do not work, but are harmful physically and psychologically. (maskscience.org has a great compilation of studies)
In addition, Hinojosa isn’t a doctor and certainly isn’t our children’s’ doctor. We get to say what is best for our children’s health. The amount of bacteria that accumulates in these masks is appalling!! Not to mention the psychological harm this does to children. Why are we making our children afraid of other humans? Why are we not allowing true social interaction?
On top of this, it makes absolutely NO logical sense that children can sit at a lunch table together without a mask and then need to wear one in class!! Should we just put lunch tables in the classroom so that COVID doesn’t exist in the classroom either??

I’ve meant the Davis family they seem nice but I saw the protest in person and there were so many people, cops everywhere even guarding school doors. I saw no harm in the protest but I noticed kids were scared I think Mrs.Davis is always making new stunts daily she has frustrated many and she needs to get her and her kids out of the Dealey environment she is messing up the joy in this lovely community.
