Additionally, a Dallas school teacher accused by multiple students of sexual contact goes unarrested by either Dallas Police Department or Dallas ISD Police.
Micah Parsons politics came to light yesterday in a tweet aimed at President Joe Biden. Parsons’ comment came shortly after the release announcement of WNBA phenom Brittney Griner.
It is unclear why he deleted the tweet later, but it appears he was trying to change paths. He later tweeted about leaving behind a United States Marine.
Parsons’s also tweeted that his tweet history was not an attack on Griner.
He said, “I’m super happy she’s back home as she should be. I just have family who have served and it’s crazy to me the President wouldn’t bring him home too. I’m the furthest thing from a trump supporter but I’m not a fan of Biden either.”
He later tweeted: “then the best outcome was accomplished. I pray Mr. Whelan comes home but am extremely happy for Brittney and her family. I am not too prideful to admit when I’ve made a mistake.”
Micah Parsons Politics – Paul Whelan History
Mr Whelen was born in Canada. He is a citizen of four countries — the United States, Canada, Great Britain, and Ireland.
He was discharged from the Marines for bad conduct in 2008. This came after a conviction related to larceny per military and court records.
He said in a deposition in 2013 that he holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and an MBA degree. He took courses at Northern Michigan University from fall 1988 to fall 1990 without earning a degree.
According to a deposition Whelan gave in 2013, he was in law enforcement from 1988 to 2000. Reportedly he worked as a police officer in Chelsea, Michigan. He is also reported to be a sheriff’s deputy in Washtenaw County. The Chelsea Police, however, said he worked in lesser roles and as a part-time officer from 1990 to 1996. Washtenaw County sheriff reported no record of his employment.
Parsons’ comments reflect a politically conservative Cowboys team that has previously supported Donald Trump and campaigned with Eric Johnson on everything, but a second team.
Cowboys team owner Jerry Jones was briefly hospitalized earlier this year after an auto accident in downtown Dallas.
Who protects the children is being asked by Dallas Independent School parents. Parents at two schools – Geneva Heights and Lipscomb Elemenatry – are angry.
Dallas Police Department officials have had limited comment so far. The issue comes after accusations of sexual contact with students by a teacher. Some of the student victims identified are as young as four.
The schools in question are Geneva Heights Elementary and Lipscomb Elementary.
At those schools parents report their children stating a teacher made sexual contact.
More than one student told both Dallas ISD and Dallas Police they were touched sexually by a teacher.
These accounts started in early November. As early as November 2, Dr. Sandoval received a report from parents about the teacher.
Parents were not informed until November 18 at Geneva Heights. Parents did not learn about the incidents until November 28 at Lipscomb.
Parent town halls organized for for daytime hours still had a “very big group” at Geneva Heights. Present at that meeting with City Council Member Adam Bazaldua.
There were roughly fifty parents at Lipscomb at their Friday afternoon session. Many sid there were “lots of confused parents” since Dallas ISD was not telling them anything.
The Teacher
The man who teaches at both schools accused of grooming children as young as four may return soon. School officials would not deny that he could be back on campus at the conclusion of the inquiry.
Three parents say the teacher in question is Daniel Rosendahl. Rosendahl has been in Dallas ISD for at least two years and appears to have taught in Lewisville ISD before that. He did not respond when we reached him via cellular.
Dallas ISD officials would not respond to request for comment in administration. Additionally, neither principal, Ms. Lane or Dr. Sandoval, would respond.
Rosendahl’s certification lists him as a 6 – 12th grade Spanish teacher. It raises the question why was he at any elementary school.
The lack of charges has led to one family removing their child from campus already.
Additionally, Dallas ISD knew of accusations against Rosendahl for weeks before acting. As usual they waited until parents started working together corroborating one another’s accounts.
The grooming reported by parents includes providing gifts to “favorite” children. Confirmation of this account came from a school employee.
In one case a student asked Rosendahl why he started teaching at Lipscomb Elementary. She had been a student at Geneva Heights before.
His answer was that he “loved her so much.” In this case he was referring to a young elementary school aged student.
Parents say he also gave nicknames to certain students as a secret code for their “friendship.”
One exasperated parent said “no one will give us justice.” This parent went on to say this is why people take the law into their own hands.
Another described the situation like the Uvalde school shooting. “The police and district are protecting themselves, not the children.”
Asking Again: Who Protects The Children?
Dallas ISD has had this problem before.
In 2012, a student was sexually assaulted on campus at Harry Stone Montessori in South Dallas. At the time, Board of Trustees Chairman Lew Blackburn swept the issue under the rug. He was able to so with the help of then DISD Police Chief Craig Miller.
Since then there have been credible accusations against a soccer coach also. He worked for North Dallas High School and also was able to escape without charges. His case too had many accusers.
As so often happens when criminals are not prosecuted they repeat their behavior. It begs the question who protects the children?
Dallas Police Non-Response
Dallas Police has been under fire for over a year for slow response times. DPD has chosen to focus on their hot areas, btu crime across Dallas is soaring.
Dallas Independent School District also spends tax dollars on its own police force. Theyy did not pursue this case at all and deferred to Dallas Police.
In 2020, Dallas Police botched the investigation into reported serial killer Jeremy Harris. Denton Police did later arrest Harris. He was then extraditewd to Collin County for charges there.
Deion Sanders ordered to pay for brutal assault by son Shilo could be reason for leaving SWAC.
A 2016 personal injury case has led to an eight figure legal judgement against Deion Sanders family. The judgement against Sanders includes his son, Shilo, comes after an assault at the successor to Prime Prep Academy. The successor agency Focus Learning Academy attempted to salvage Sanders’ mismanagement at Prime Prep Academy.
In September 2015, Darjean then an employee with Focus Learning Academy. Darjean was violently attacked by Shilo Sanders – son of Deion and Pilar Sanders.
The attack caused by the younger Sanders hospitalized Darjean for multiple days in the hospital. It also required significant medical care including spinal surgery.
The outburst by Shilo Sanders cost medical providers more than $115,000 in medical care at the time. Per court documents the injuries made Darjean unable to maintain gainful employment due to permanent neurological injuries and damage to his cervical spine.
Deion Sanders had publically denied the allegations and accused Darjean of being a liar.
Sanders Ordered To Pay For Brutal Assault, But Not Only Issue?
Prime Prep Academy was founded in 2012 in part by the former NFL cornerback. When it was established it had 1100 students in Oak Cliff and Ft. Worth, but things would quickly go sideways.
By January 2015, the school was closed due to financial insolvency. It and its nonprofit sponsor Uplift Ft Worth are still subject to pending court action over National School Lunch Program.
The school was closed with less than an hours’ notice and employees were shocked to find out their health insurance and retirement premiums were not being paid. A lawsuit by six employees helped recover some of their back wages that weren’t paid.
Focus Learning Academy took a majority of the students from Prime Prep Academy. Later the Texas Education Agency closed Focus Learning Academy for violating “Three Strikes” provisions for charter schools.
The elder Sanders is leaving Jackson State University and the Southwestern Athletic Conference. He is the new coach of the University of Colorado at Boulder. There are rumors of financial problems at Jackson State University and possible NCAA recruiting issues.
Lauren Davis won’t take no for an answer from Dallas voters and is already preparing a run for Mayor of Dallas.
A phone text survey went out Saturday and Sunday per multiple readers asking would recipients prefer Davis or Eric Johnson. Lurking in the not so distant shadows is Michael Hinojosa and possibly Adam Bazaldua.
It appears Davis may be ready to continue the abuse of the Dallas voter for another campaign cycle.
It is unclear who is paying for the polling since there was no TEC required disclosure.
Lauren Davis Won’t Take No Or Yes
Davis received notoriety for pushing campus protests at Dealey Montessori during the 2021-2022 school year. Those protests culminated with dangerous posts by her business The Gents Place about preferred firearms between the AK47 and M16. Dealey Montessori previously was considered a crown jewel of Dallas Independent School District.
Davis recently lost the County Judge election against Clay Jenkins by a nearly two-to-one margin. This was more than one hundred thousand vote separation.
Davis made her entire campaign about her personal victimhood during the Dealey saga she created. She is also said to have pulled down other GOP candidates forced to run with her including JJ Koch and Greg Shalan in reliably red areas.
Other Side Dallas welcomes reader information and if you have information on potential candidatesor issues our phone lines are open – proverbially speaking of course. Please reach out and let us know what you’re hearing.
NTSB investigating Dallas crash per local officials speaking after the horrific air show crash at Dallas Executive Airport.
Per the FAA, “A Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress and a Bell P-63 King Cobra collided and crashed at the Wings Over Dallas Airshow at Dallas Executive Airport in Texas…”
In a website based statement, Wings Over Dallas said, “Currently we do not have information on the status of the flight crews as emergency responders are working the accident.”
They continued, “The Commemorative Air Force is working with local authorities, the FAA, and the NTSB will conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the accident.”
NTSB Investigating Crash MidAir After Lives Lost
As the FAA investigating midair crash starts, at least one law firm has also expressed concern about lives lost.
Six people were reported dead following the crash. It is unclear who were pilots and crew versus paying passengers.
Air shows often make a profit by offering expensive plane rides in vintage World War II and similar aircraft.
One witness to the event said, “this looks like a classic loss of situational awareness.”
“As can be seen one or both pilots did not communicate. It does not look like they practice together enough, ” she continued.
Mayor Eric Johnson tweeted from his campaign account on Saturday. There he said “no spectators or others on the ground were reported injured, although the debris field from the collision includes the Dallas Executive Airport grounds, Highway 67, and a nearby strip mall.”
Both Dallas Police and Dallas Fire Rescue defer to federal authorities in these events. Additionally, other city and county agencies are not equipped to investigate.
Organizers plan to cancel Sunday calendar events for the air show per the website.
A query system runs for those who want to follow up on the event.
The Aircraft Involved
The B17 was part of the collection of the Commemorative Air Force. Its group nickname is the “Texas Raiders.” The plane sits in Conroe, Texas near Houston.
Additionally, there are only forty-five surviving examples of the B17 plane. Only nine are airworthy. B17 bombers were the backbone of American bomber strength during World War II. They were the basis of bomber strength in the European theater.
The P-63 was even rarer. There are only fourteen examples known in existence. Four are airworthy including one owned by the Commemorative Air Force.
Wings Over Dallas crash being reported this afternoon in a breaking story.
Dallas Fire Rescue is currently responding to Dallas Executive Airport with multiple ambulances for what is being reported as a midair collision between two aircraft.
The crash reportedly involved a P63 and a B17. This appears to be confirmed by recent video of the event.
More information will be updated on this midair crash as soon as more is known.
Wings Over Dallas Crash – Another Air Emergency Locally
UIL deflates Duncanville basketball teams handing out multiple suspensions and stripping a state title yesterday. Both Duncanville ISD programs received discipline for rules violations centered around recruiting.
The Duncanville boys basketball team will forfeit all games from the 2021-2022 season in which the team played an ineligible player. The ineligible player is said to be Anthony Black, who plays at the University of Arkansas.
The penalty forfeits include all postseason games and the 2022 Conference 6A State Championship. This makes McKinney High School the new state champs.
UIL Deflates Duncanville Basketball For Girls Too
The girls’ basketball team will also be suspended from this year’s playoffs. This sanction comes for violating recruiting rules and practice restrictions.
According to the UIL, Coach LeJeanna Howard advertised she was having an open gym tryout in August. This was a full two months before practices are allowed to start.
Howard denied it was a try-out for the team, calling it just an open gym.
Duncanville is considered a local powerhouse for hoops and the Duncanville Field House conducts a great deal of off season preparation.
Dallas Dems Plan 2022 defeats in unexpected races across Dallas County and fingers are already being pointed.
Low early voting turnout in several precincts has Dallas Democrats infighting ratcheting up before Election Day. In past years the circular firing squad did not start until after Election Day.
In February 2022, a UT-Tyler poll showed Democrats still well behind GOP front runner Greg Abbott. Since that time Democrats have counted on a Roevember wave of voters providing the impetus to propel Democrats to victory across the state. It appears that is not happening.
There have been several issues with Democratic fundraising and Democrats previously reported an audit which showed “almost no financial controls.”
Dallas Dems Plan 2022 Defeats In Bryant Race?
One race in particular is HD114 where former Congressman John Bryant is in a race against Sarah Lamb.
One operator on the ground says Bryant better hope that turnout improves or even his gerrymandered district could flip GOP.
The Dallas Morning News endorsed Lamb despite Bryant being a heavy favorite. They said, “We gravitate towards Lamb’s more optimistic message about what Texas offers and the need to listen to the families in the district.”
Bryant beat former GOP Latina Alexandra Guio in the primary, but it is unclear how much real campaigning he has done.
Another Dallas Zoo death shows the local wildlife park continues to be a step away from being a puppy mill. There have been hundreds of deaths in the past decade alone.
Per Dallas Zoo media releases the ten year old Brutus, one of the cheetah brothers on habitat, died earlier this week.
During is reported to have had a poor appetite and was lethargic and weak.
The Dallas Zoo says they are still awaiting necropsy results to determine cause of this situation. Initial results indicate chronic changes in his kidneys, and likely kidney failure – a common issue in older cats.
The zoo closes with a statement about their zookeepers feelings.
The animals in our care become part of our family, and Brutus will be missed dearly…
We ask that you please keep our zoologists in your thoughts as they, too, deal with this loss.
Another Dallas Zoo Death Piles On Staggering Numbers
Since 2013 nearly hundreds of animals have died in the hands of Dallas Zoo staff. This includes multiple giraffes – leading to a SNL skit, a Silverback gorilla, and a zebra.
It is unclear if other local media will give another pass to continuing issues at our zoo or if they will sit on the sidelines criticizing questions of accountability.
In 2009, Dallas City Council members voted unanimously to turn management of zoo.
At the time the move was hailed for saving he city $1.5 M per year. Supporters said it would lead to increased donation, but there were concerns at the time over the speed the plan was presented and advanced.
Additionally, the public’s access to the zoo and zoo records was curtailed.
