American Airlines Flight Attendant Assaulted

An American Airlines flight attendant assaulted on a flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York on its way to John Wayne Airport in Orange County was punched twice, forcing the aircraft to make an emergency landing in Denver.

American Airlines Flight Attendant Assaulted

A photo tweeted by a passenger shows the man who was arrested sitting inside the terminal at the airport in Denver. He is seen handcuffed and wearing a mask.

“We are outraged by the reports of what took place on board. Acts of violence against our team members are not tolerated by American Airlines. We are working with law enforcement to support our team member and pursue prosecution, and the individual involved in this incident will not be allowed to travel with us in the future,” American Airlines said in a statement.

“If you’re not prepared to wear a mask, you’re not prepared to fly, that’s the moral of the story,” said Mackenzie Rose, a passenger on the flight who tweeted the detainment photo.

This is another example of violence happening on American flights this year including this event earlier in the summer.

American Airlines Flight Attendant Assaulted – Mask Issues Continue

American Airlines has said it will abide by the federal requirement for passengers to wear masks over ruling Governor Abbott’s executive order prohibiting private mandates.

The issue is spilling over into other areas of life here in Dallas though.

Two weeks ago the owners of the Gents Place salon organized a child abuse at protest at Dealey Montessori arguing their children were being abused by Principal Beth Wing for the Dallas ISD mask mandate.

Those actions have led Dallas ISD to keep speakers off tonight’s Board of Trustees agenda.

Dallas Police: No Answers On Detaining Homeowners

No Answers

The Dallas Police Department had no answers to why the detained lawful homeowners in their own home in an incident that reminds the public of the Botham Jean incident.

No Answers

According to a news report by Fox5, Dallas police mistakenly assumed a mother and her son were burglars and detained them while they were in their own home.

One neightbor described the incident as being detained for “being black and owning a home.”

No Answers Again For Citizens Asking Why

Dallas Police have not returned telephone calls or emails, but the incident harkens back to the Botham Jean incident where a man was murdered by then Dallas Police Officer Amber Guyger. Her case is still in appeal.

It also makes Dallas area residents nervous about the ability of DPD to do their job without assaulting citizens or the protests that result from these examples where judgement is not obvious.

The incident is a reminder of the short fuses DPD has when it comes to being asked questions by citizens while officers often go without accountability including Sgt. Melvin Williams.

Chief Garcia’s office has been noticeably silent after repeated requests for comment on a number of issues. A Public Information Officer noted that DPD has not been able to “determine if an administrative investigation is warranted.”

Another Protest At Dealey?

Protest At Dealey

Dallas ISD may be getting ready for another protest at Dealey Montessori. Details are unconfirmed at this point, but there are indications another protest is being planned for the North Dallas Montessori campus and again, school officials are not communicating with parents.

Protest At Dealey Accuses Beth Wing Of Child Abuse

The first protest accused Principal Beth Wing of child abuse for partially enforcing the ISD mask mandate. While there is no evidence of child abuse by Wing, numerous parents have been frustrated by the lack of communication which even central office staff admit is a problem.

Chief of School Leadership Tiffany Huitt had issued a remind message saying protestors were not allowed on school property, but numerous examples of that happened and school officials including Dallas ISD Police did nothing.

There was also at least one report of a firearm on campus – a problem given the Davis family business post on their Twitter account earlier in the week.

Second Protest At Dealey

The first protest occured October 14, 2021 right before dismissal. It included roughly two dozen non-parents showing up and yelling at grade school children who were attempting to walk home.

A counter protest was stopped by an intervening parent.

Cowboys Safety Kazee Isn’t Safe

Cowboys Safety Kazee

Dallas Cowboys Safety Kazee isn’t safe after being arrested early Tuesday morning for driving while under the influence.

Cowboys Safety Kazee

Kazee was pulled over by Dallas suburban law enforcement for a traffic violation in The Colony around 3:00AM. Colony Police noticed physical signs that Kazee had been drinking. After being questioned he told the officer that he had consumed alcohol earlier in the evening.

Damontae Kazee was detained after failing a field sobriety test, and his DWI charge is a Class B misdemeanor for a first offense. The 28-year-old posted a $2,500 bond on Tuesday and was released from The Colony Municipal Jail at 12:34 p.m.

Cowboys Safety Kazee New To Team

The first year safety joined the Dallas Cowboys this year after signing a one year deal worth just over $1M. He follows coach Dan Quinn from the Atlanta Falcons where he spent his first four years.

Other Side Dallas will update as new information becomes available.

Southwest Surrenders To Protests

Southwest Surrenders

Dallas’s Southwest surrenders to COVID19 protests and disregards the Biden Administration mandates for federal contractors to have employee compliance on mandatory COVID19 vaccinations.

Southwest Surrenders

The airlines has scrapped a plan to put unvaccinated employees on unpaid leave starting by a federal deadline in December. Those who have applied for but haven’t received a religious or medical exemption would be on this list.

American Airlines and Southwest Airlines are among the carriers that are federal contractors subject to a Biden administration requirement that employees be vaccinated against COVID19 by December 8.

Federal contracting rules are stricter than those expected for large companies, which will allow for regular Covid testing as an alterative to a vaccination.

Southwest Surrenders After Pledging For Mandate

Southwest Airlines is experiencing what one employee called a “schizophrenic episode.”

He continued, “they don’t know if they are coming or going. Last week they stood with American Airlines against Greg Abbott’s statewide executive order. Now they’re against Biden. There’s really no leadership.”

Dealey Protest

Dealey Protest

The word is no word on the Dealey Protest planned for Thursday. Two parents notified Other Side Dallas they had received no communication from the school about safety plans to protect their children on Thursday, October 14.

Dealey Protest

Per those parents at least half a dozen parents were planning on keeping their children home or picking them up early to avoid the confrontation.

Dealey Protest Background

It is unclear what Dallas ISD plans are for the school that day as a call to DISD headquarters yielded surprise when they were asked about discipline standards and safety plans on Tuesday, October 12.

In our previous post on this topic we noted that this is called a Child Abuse protest, but there has been no credible evidence that any child abuse is happening at Dealey. There are no police records or other indications of abuse – just an allegation of abuse because students are required to wear masks.

The same family organizing the protest is reported to be one of two families who was part of classroom disruptions earlier in the year.

In August, Superintendent Hinojosa over ruled Governor Abbott’s executive order banning mask mandates. A handful of families across the district have argued against the mask mandate and per sources Dealey Montessori has accomodated these students by allowing them to participate in class in the library.

The students in question still go to lunch in the lunchroom and attend outdoor physical education class with their peers.

Given these accomodations, many parents are asking why a Dealey protest at all.

City of Dallas Data Loss Report Drops

Data Loss Report

The Dallas data loss report dropped late Thursday in a quiet press release. The report aims to answer questions about the 20TB+ loss of data that is halting prosecutions of murder suspects and interupting city functions.

Data Loss Report

A press release noted a review and analysis conducted into the mass data loss first discovered by the City in April 2021, the City of Dallas IT Department Thursday provided City Manager TC Broadnax a report giving further details around the events leading to the data loss, the efforts to recover data, and making recommendations for changes to reduce the risk of potential future data loss.

Broadnax noted in a statement, “The City understands the seriousness and potential impacts of this data loss and we are committed to improving how we manage our data to ensure its security and integrity,” said City Manager TC Broadnax. “In this report, our IT Department provides a path forward with a series of direct and actionable recommendations to improve our management of data and guard against any future data loss.”

The statement continues that the report confirms that the City lost 20.9 terabytes (TB) of data, totaling 8.26 million individual files in two events during the month of March 2021. The report cites actions taken by a City IT employee as the cause of the archive deletions and examines other factors and conditions contributing to the events. The data loss impacted archive files of the Dallas Police Department (DPD) and consisted of archived images, videos, audio files, case notes and other administrative documents gathered by the Department. Additionally, it delineates thorough reviews conducted of other backup and archive processes and confirms that other City systems were unaffected by these events.

Data Loss Report Out, But No Answers

The report does not address employee disciplinary actions, nor does it describe the details of any investigatory actions completed or underway related to the data loss. Multiple sources confirm an investigation by the Dallas Field Office of the FBI.

SBA Extorting Minority Applicants

SBA Extorting Minority Applicants

Contractors and staff of SBA extorting minority applicants per phone calls and screen shots. Staff members of Region 6 have refused multiple requests for comment, but Ahmad Goree is attending a 24 Hour Dallas webinar on funding minority nightime business this evening.

In one partial screenshot, a staff member releases information to a third party “finder.” The finder then offers to broker the application with SBA for fees of ten percent to the SBA staff member and five percent to the finder.

SBA Extorting Minority Applicants

Goree and other staff have refused multiple requests for comment as to why staff members are heard asking for kickbacks. They have also not responded to multiple requests for comment on process or how information is contained.

These issues comes just days after Dallas Fed Chairman Robert Kaplan announced his sudden resignation after it became clear he was trading stocks using his personal accounts while the Fed was buying the same securities.

SBA Extorting Minority Applicants – Link To June Suicide?

In June, we reported Dallas police had recovered the body of the spouse of an applicant who had committed suicide after questionable behavior by contractor staff at Brillient Corporation.

Parents Pushing COVID19 Protests At Dealey Montessori

Parents Pushing COVID19 Protests

A group of parents are pushing COVID19 protests at Dealey Montessori Academy just weeks after its sister school in South Dallas had an explosion in cases at Harry Stone Montessori Academy.

Parents Pushing COVID19 Protests

Dallas Independent School District had told the state that they plan to enforce a mask mandate despite Governor Abbott’s executive order this summer.

One Dealey parent said they were not sure if this was “a parent committing child abuse by intentionally sending a child to school maskless” or if it was “domestic terroism intentionally spreading germs in a communal environment.”

The parent who did not want to be named went on, “The parents are clearly more interested in making a political statement than they are in being in an environment of mutual contributions, respect, and learning.”

COVID19 Protests

Four students in the upper elementary program have chosen to attend school without masks and have been accomodated in another classroom together. On Friday, September 17, the four decided to attempt to enter other classrooms disrupting the school’s day.

It is unclear if they were subject to any discipline, but Dallas ISD magnets frequently have stringent requirements and regularly disrupting class can be a reason to remove the child from a magnet program.

We will update this topic when more information becomes available or DISD representatives return inquires.
