COVID19 returns to Dealey Montessori magnet school in North Dallas with Dallas Independent School District allowing unmasked students to enter the classroom in violation of their own mask mandates.
Sources say that while COVID19 numbers are reported to be three cases on the Royal Lane campus, the real numbers may be twice that.
COVID19 Returns to Dealey
Dealey Montessori was the site of two dozen protestors harrassing children as young as four jutst two weeks ago causing the school to back down from its own health protection standard.
Lauren Davis, Chief Culture Owner and spouse of The Gents Place, was pushing for her children to be allowed in regular classrooms unmasked despite wearing masks in other parts of their lives.
The Davis family business Twitter account also had an ominous post about which is better: the AK47 or M16 two days prior to the protest in what some called a threat.
An American Airlines flight attendant assaulted on a flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York on its way to John Wayne Airport in Orange County was punched twice, forcing the aircraft to make an emergency landing in Denver.
A photo tweeted by a passenger shows the man who was arrested sitting inside the terminal at the airport in Denver. He is seen handcuffed and wearing a mask.
“We are outraged by the reports of what took place on board. Acts of violence against our team members are not tolerated by American Airlines. We are working with law enforcement to support our team member and pursue prosecution, and the individual involved in this incident will not be allowed to travel with us in the future,” American Airlines said in a statement.
“If you’re not prepared to wear a mask, you’re not prepared to fly, that’s the moral of the story,” said Mackenzie Rose, a passenger on the flight who tweeted the detainment photo.
American Airlines Flight Attendant Assaulted – Mask Issues Continue
American Airlines has said it will abide by the federal requirement for passengers to wear masks over ruling Governor Abbott’s executive order prohibiting private mandates.
The issue is spilling over into other areas of life here in Dallas though.
Two weeks ago the owners of the Gents Place salon organized a child abuse at protest at Dealey Montessori arguing their children were being abused by Principal Beth Wing for the Dallas ISD mask mandate.
Those actions have led Dallas ISD to keep speakers off tonight’s Board of Trustees agenda.
Mayor of Dallas Eric Johnson test positive for COVID19 per a statement issued a short while ago.
“I appreciate your thoughts and prayers on behalf of my family, and I look forward to a speedy recovery so I can get back to work with my colleagues on behalf of the people of Dallas,” Johnson, 46, said in the statement. “In addition, I want to take this opportunity to again encourage residents of Dallas to get vaccinated if they have not yet done so — and to receive a booster shot when they are eligible.”
Eric Johnson Tests Positive Despite Vaccination
Mayor Johnson was vaccinated at UT Southwestern Medical Center in January 2021 due to an underlying medical condition not disclosed.
Despite county mask requirements, the City of Dallas has been less strict with enforcing masks locally including at popular gathering places such as The Majestic Theatre.
The Mayor has cancelled a number of appointments including tomorrow’s city council meeting as he recovers.
Dallas’s Southwest surrenders to COVID19 protests and disregards the Biden Administration mandates for federal contractors to have employee compliance on mandatory COVID19 vaccinations.
The airlines has scrapped a plan to put unvaccinated employees on unpaid leave starting by a federal deadline in December. Those who have applied for but haven’t received a religious or medical exemption would be on this list.
American Airlines and Southwest Airlines are among the carriers that are federal contractors subject to a Biden administration requirement that employees be vaccinated against COVID19 by December 8.
Federal contracting rules are stricter than those expected for large companies, which will allow for regular Covid testing as an alterative to a vaccination.
Southwest Surrenders After Pledging For Mandate
Southwest Airlines is experiencing what one employee called a “schizophrenic episode.”
He continued, “they don’t know if they are coming or going. Last week they stood with American Airlines against Greg Abbott’s statewide executive order. Now they’re against Biden. There’s really no leadership.”
The Gents Place Culture Officer Lauren Davis did not respond to a question about why the company Twitter account asked about a preference between an AK-47 and an M-16 rifle on their social media accounts while she is planning a protest at Dealey Montessori on Thursday, October 14.
The post above comes as Ms. Davis has escalated a private feud with Dallas Independent School District over their mask mandate to the point of organizing a prayer rally in front of the school and now a protest.
Two parents asked late last night said that these images do not fit with a hair salon.
“The question of firearms with everything else going on makes it appear they are intimidating the school,” said one. “This post comes out and 24 hours later DISD gives in to their insane demands all so she can get donations to help her struggling business.”
Dallas ISD did not inform parents that the students would be allowed to return to class via email or written communication. Many parents expressed shock and frustration that what had been a communal environment is being town apart by The Gents Place culture officer, and rumored potential candidate, who wears a mask in the Gents Place salon and while at church activites.
It is unclear why she objects to her students wearing masks at Dealey Montessori. We have confirmed her high school student complies with the district mask mandate at Hillcrest High School without objection or disruption.
Two students will attend classes unmasked at Dealey Montessori starting Thursday, October 14 per multiple reports from Dallas ISD Central Office staff and school teachers who told students to prepare for their classmates return.
They are reportedly doing this under the auspices of a physician note, but both students have been photographed in other venues recently masked – at church and volunteer events.
Additionally, the protest organizer is reportedly going to be in Austin testifying before the state legislature about social media and its influence on children.
One parent has described Lauren Davis as Shelley Luther 2.0.
Other Side Dallas is planning a full post on Lauren Davis, the salon culture officer, for Dallas based The Gents Place. At least one source noted this entire operation is to raise enough noise to create a fundraising mechanism to keep her business afloat.
Lauren Davis is reported to have instructed her children attending Dealey Montessori to protest the mask mandate and resulting accomodations. Her older son, a sophomore at Hillcrest High School complies with the mask mandate there.
Ms. Davis has previously organized a group to walk around the school saying prayers, but most recently organized a protest scheduled for tomorrow, October 14, to accuse the school of child abuse for forcing masks.
Unmasked At Dealey – Uninformed At Home
Parents were caught unaware when no notification came home with students and no email was transmitted to parents alerting them of the difference.
One parent noted, “Apparently the administration will officially send out a communication tomorrow but it’s pretty much been confirmed.”
Earlier this summer Superintendent Michael Hinojosa had stated Dallas ISD would not comply with the Governor’s mask mandate prohibition. One teacher noted out of 160,000 students, nineteen protested that decision initially. The number now is only two. They both attend Dealey.
In addition to the problems noted, the Davis children have also recorded a teacher in a Gay Straight Alliance meeting that the teacher sponsors. This is considered a Level II disciplinary matter, but it is not clear Dallas ISD has taken any disciplinary action against the family for the repeated disruptions or threats to safety via their attempts to be unmasked at Dealey.
The word is no word on the Dealey Protest planned for Thursday. Two parents notified Other Side Dallas they had received no communication from the school about safety plans to protect their children on Thursday, October 14.
Per those parents at least half a dozen parents were planning on keeping their children home or picking them up early to avoid the confrontation.
Dealey Protest Background
It is unclear what Dallas ISD plans are for the school that day as a call to DISD headquarters yielded surprise when they were asked about discipline standards and safety plans on Tuesday, October 12.
In our previous post on this topic we noted that this is called a Child Abuse protest, but there has been no credible evidence that any child abuse is happening at Dealey. There are no police records or other indications of abuse – just an allegation of abuse because students are required to wear masks.
The same family organizing the protest is reported to be one of two families who was part of classroom disruptions earlier in the year.
In August, Superintendent Hinojosa over ruled Governor Abbott’s executive order banning mask mandates. A handful of families across the district have argued against the mask mandate and per sources Dealey Montessori has accomodated these students by allowing them to participate in class in the library.
The students in question still go to lunch in the lunchroom and attend outdoor physical education class with their peers.
Given these accomodations, many parents are asking why a Dealey protest at all.
A “child abuse” protest at Dealey Montessori is planned for Thursday afternoon’s school dismissal by the same parents who attempted a classroom protest disrupting student learning in September over school mask mandates.
Dallas ISD officials have not yet commented on the campaign or what they are doing to protect children, but several parents have voiced concern that the school address is being shared on social media.
A counter protest is being planned against those who arrive attempting to disrupt dismissal.
Protest At Dealey Montessori
The protest is planned for 3:15PM on October 14, 2021, the day prior to the district’s Fair Day per the Dallas ISD calendar. The timing of the protest puts it on a collision course with the release of students at a historically busy time of day.
This is the same school where students were attacked by fireworks earlier this year. Dallas Police have yet to take a report on that incident.
Dallas ISD leadership, Dealey administration, and Site Based Decision Making committee members were previously asked about the classroom protests, but none responded.
Limo Liberal Al Franken does Dallas mask free at the Majestic Theatre despite demanding proof of negative COVID19 test or vaccination card.
The Majestic which is celebrating one hundred years open did not comment about why they were not enforcing the mask mandate other than to lay blame on former Senator Franken who resigned his United States Senate seat over sexual harassment allegations.
City officials claimed they could not enforce county mandates and were not subject to them per Jason Evans of Dallas Fire Rescue.
Limo Liberal Al Franken Does Dallas Mask Free
Several participants noted that at least forty percent of the crowd was mask free and there were several people coughing enough that they “belonged” in an ICU for breathing trouble.
Prior to the show, several emails when out from Franken’s promotion team stating masks would be needed for entry along with vaccination cards or proof of negative test, but no checks occurred at the door.
It is unclear if Franken will offer refunds to those unable to attend the show due to the lack of follow through on maintaining a clean environment.
A group of parents are pushing COVID19 protests at Dealey Montessori Academy just weeks after its sister school in South Dallas had an explosion in cases at Harry Stone Montessori Academy.
One Dealey parent said they were not sure if this was “a parent committing child abuse by intentionally sending a child to school maskless” or if it was “domestic terroism intentionally spreading germs in a communal environment.”
The parent who did not want to be named went on, “The parents are clearly more interested in making a political statement than they are in being in an environment of mutual contributions, respect, and learning.”
COVID19 Protests
Four students in the upper elementary program have chosen to attend school without masks and have been accomodated in another classroom together. On Friday, September 17, the four decided to attempt to enter other classrooms disrupting the school’s day.
It is unclear if they were subject to any discipline, but Dallas ISD magnets frequently have stringent requirements and regularly disrupting class can be a reason to remove the child from a magnet program.
We will update this topic when more information becomes available or DISD representatives return inquires.
